Clare leads and manages NGA’s consultancy service. NGA’s team of knowledgeable and experienced consultants undertake external reviews of governance for all types of schools and academy trusts, as well as for charities and other organisations in the education sector in both England and abroad. NGA consultants also provide specialised consultancy support and development which includes guiding boards through reviewing and revising their vision and strategy, delivering bespoke training packages, facilitating longitudinal development programmes and providing individual coaching and mentoring. Clare also contributes to NGA guidance and publications, speaks at events and represents NGA.
Clare’s background is in governance and trusteeship. As a governor and trustee she has sat on and chaired many governing boards, gaining experience of schools and trusts in different phases and in varying stages of their development. Clare has also chaired her local authority Schools Forum, and her trustee experience includes chairing NGA’s trust board from 2008-2011.
